Homemade Pizza Crust
It’s Friday (yay) and for us, that means it’s pizza night with a movie! In the last couple months, we’ve been making homemade pizzas. I use a basic dough recipe, divide it up into 3-4 small pizzas and let the kids top their own! As you can tell from our youngest daughter, they are quite proud to make their own pizzas.
We enjoy making our own pizzas and with a large family, smaller pizzas allow everyone to make their favorite. I set the table up with the pre-baked crusts and all the toppings in individual bowls. The kids love using their creativity in making their own pizzas.

Ingredients
- 2-1/2 - 3 c. Flour (I use whole wheat pastry)
- 1 T Sugar
- 1 t Salt
- 2-1/4 t Active Dry Yeast
- 3 T Olive Oil
- 1 c Warm Water
Instructions
- Mix 1 cup of flour, the sugar, salt and yeast together. Add oil and water. Beat with electric mixer for about 3 minutes, scraping bowl frequently. Stir in enough flour until dough is soft and leaves the sides of bowl. Place dough on lightly floured surface. Knead 5-8 minutes or until dough is smooth. Place dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled. Once doubled, separate dough into 2 or more balls for crust. Roll dough out and partially bake crust for 7-8 minutes at 375 degress. Add sauce and toppings. Bake at 425 degrees for an additional 8-10 minutes.
